AGUA OXIGENADA - IQB®
It is a highly oxidizing synthetic inorganic disinfectant and antiseptic. In the right concentration, upon interacting with tissue organic matter, it breaks down in a controlled way generating two absolutely innocuous products. One of them, the 'gaseous oxygen', is responsible for the cleaning and clotting action because given its rapid liberation, it sweeps the surface of the tissue and interacts immediately with proteins, enzymes, etc., denaturing them and enabling the beginning of a clotting process in surface wounds, excoriations, bleedings, etc., which is extremely useful in emergency and first aid situations. In high concentrations (100 Vol.), it is the disinfectant of choice for the osmotic systems, for equipments and systems in the food and pharmaceutical industries, among others, mainly because of its feature of not generating waste toxic for people given that its breaking down results in water and oxygen: 2 H2O2 → 2 H2O + O2
Formula:
H2O2
Therapeutic Action:
Antiseptic, Disinfectant.
Uses
It is mainly used as antiseptic, coagulant and cleansing agent in surface wounds, excoriations, bleedings, etc., and principally in emergency and first aid cases. It is also a very adequate disinfectant for various professional purposes.
